NOTIFICATION OF VACANCIES

The Department of Anthropology desires to fill up 2 (Two) Adhoc Faculty positions (One reserved for OBC and one Unreserved) purely on temporary basis (in the pay scale of Assistant Professor) for the Winter Semester (02.01.2018 to 11.05.2018). Candidates eligible (eligibility criteria are given below) for the posts may attend the walk-in interview along with CVs, copies of certificates, and Research publications) scheduled on 15.12.2017 (Friday) at 10:30 a.m. The Interview will be held at seminar hall of the Department of Anthropology, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad, PO: Central University, Gachibowli, Hyderabad – 500 046 (Telangana). Please note that No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview). The University reserves the right to cancel the interviews without assigning any reasons and also not to select candidates, if suitable candidates are not found. This appointment is purely temporary and can be terminated at any time without assigning any reason therefore.

Qualifications:
Essential: M.A./ M.Sc. in Anthropology with specialization in Social/Cultural
Anthropology.
(Other essential qualifications like clearance of NET will be as per the UGC’s latest guidelines)
Desirable: Ph.D. and experience in teaching PG Courses, especially (1) Anthropology of
Complex Society (2) Quantitative Research Method (3) Anthropology of Marginalised Communities (4) Approaches to Socio Cultural Change.
