JC CAT – Just Careers Common Admission Test

Just Careers Common Admission Test (JC CAT) is a National Level Online Entrance Test for admission into Business Schools and Management Institutes. JC CAT was established in 2007 to facilitate all Business Schools in India to screen MBA aspirants seeking admission to MBA and allied programs. Any B-school participating in JC CAT can use JC CAT score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates who appeared in JC CAT. More than 100 reputed B-schools / Management Institutes participate in JC CAT. These B-schools are dedicating their intellectual resources for educating and building future leaders.

Eligibility:
Candidates applying for admission to MBA / PGDBM Programs must have pursued Bachelor Degree Program from a recognized university / institute after 12 years of formal education. Candidates appearing in the final year bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. Such candidate must produce a certificate from the Principal / Head of the Department / Registrar / Director of the university / Institution certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year/is waiting for results.

Test Structure:

JC CAT consists of five parts; Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment. Each section carries 40 objective type questions and each question carries one mark. There is negative marking for a wrong answer. In all there are 200 questions in JC CAT and the duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.

How to Apply:

JC CAT Registration Form can be filled online  Candidates applying online are required to send a Bank Draft of Rs. 250/- in favor of JC CAT payable at New Delhi along with one passport size photograph carrying their signatures and a covering letter mentioning their Name, Address, Bank draft Number, Date of Online Registration etc. within a week of your online registration.

JC CAT is usually conducted 3 times a year in January, May, October.
