RECRUITMENT TO THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OFFICIAL LANGUAGE) IN THE ICAR HEADQUARTERS AND ITS RESEARCH INSTITUTES
The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board invites Applications from Indian citizens for the posts of Assistant Director (Official Language) (AD(OL)) in the Pay Band 3 Rs.15600-39100/- + Grade Pay (GP) Rs.5400/- by Direct Recruitment on All India Open Competitive Examination basis.
No. of Vacancies: About 11 across India (vacancies are tentative and may change). Vacancies are at the ICAR Headquarters. New Delhi and its Research Institutes across India. Unreserved – 05/ Scheduled Caste – 02/Scheduled Tribe -01/ Other Backward Classes – 03
Educational and Other Qualifications / Experience:
Essential Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the Degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the Degree level:
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the Degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with Hindi Medium and English as subjects at the Degree level;
OR
Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject with English Medium and Hindi as a subject at the Degree level.
Experience: Five years’ experience in Government/Public Sector Organizations/ Institutions in the PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- or more of using/ applying terminology (terminology work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa, preferably of technical or scientific literature.
OR
Five years’ experience in Government/Public Sector Organizations/ Institutions in the PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- or more of teaching in Hindi and English or research in Hindi and English.
Desirable Qualifications
- Desirable Knowledge at the level of Matriculation of a recognized Board or equivalent of one of the languages other than Hindi mentioned in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution.
- Degree or Diploma in translation in Hindi to English and vice-versa from any recognized University or equivalent.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years (relaxable upto 5 years for ICAR regular employees and is further relaxable for SC/ST/OBC etc. candidates as per Government of India rules) as on the closing date of receipt of applications i.e., 22.09.2014.
