Sahitya Kala Parishad Scholarships For Advance Training In Music And Dance 2012-13
Sahitya Kala Parishad, the Cultural wing of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi for music, dance, drama & fine arts which has been engaged in the task of nurturing and fostering these arts and creating a cultural and artistic awareness in the Capital ever since its inception in 1968. It was registered under the Society’s Registration Act, 1860 on July 31st, 1975. The Parishad has been pursuing multifarious activities in order to enrich the cultural ethos of the Capital and inculcate an artistic awareness amongst people of Delhi through its various schemes and programmes. With the establishment of Language Academies, the main thrust of the Parishad is performing, visual and plastic arts
Applications are invited for the Award of the Scholarships of Rs.1500/- p.m. for a period of 2 years for advance training in the field of Classical Music, Dance and other rare forms.
No. Of Scholarships :
Maximum six scholarships each field depending upon the specialty of candidate.
A. Music:
Field of training : Advanced training in Hindustani and Carnatic (Vocal/instrumental)
B. Dance :
Classical dance like Bhartnatyanm Kathak, Kathkali, Manipuri, Oddissi, Kuchipudi, Creative Dance etc.
Eligibility :
Age from 18 years to 25 years as on 30th January of the calendar year (proof to be submitted).
The candidate must have been residing continuously in Delhi for the last 5 years as on 30th January 2009 (proof to be submitted) and must have undergone a training of at least five years (proof to be submitted) as on 30th January 2009.
Preference will be given to those candidates who have passed degree course from any recognized University/Institution.
Those who are presently receiving a Scholarship from the State Government or the Government of India are not eligible. Eligible age of applicants is 13 years to 25 years as on 31″ January, 2012.
